Job Description
- Read and understood the test method and/or procedure for operating equipment;
- Familiar and understood the instruction on the test worksheet used;
- Perform sample pre-treatment or samples preparation and testing of laboratory samples on supervision;
- Chemical reagent solution preparation for sample pre-treatment or analysis;
- Involve in Method Performance Validation- data entry and compilation;
- Involve in editing worksheet or any documentation with provided guideline/template;
- Involve in sample preservation, storage, retention and disposal of remnant samples;
- Maintenance of proper housekeeping practices in work bench area;
- Regular cleaning and upkeep test utensil and glassware apparatus for reuse;
- Manage ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory daily operation in microbiology testing scope;
- Learn and assist on media preparation and inoculations;
- Responsible for overall lab cleanliness;
- Perform daily sterilization of used media and biohazard materials;
- Assist on results recording. (e.g.: Colonies counting);
- Help with administrative works when needed (e.g.: maintaining forms and records);
- Collection and food samples registration;
- Perform other job related duties as may be assigned by the management.
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Technology or equivalent.
- Well-verse in Microsoft Office (word, excel, etc.)
- Work independently, autonomously and self-responsible.
- Good teamwork and cooperative with groups or individual.
- Good organisation and time management.
- Accuracy and high attention to detail.
- Eager to learn, proactive and resourceful.
