Job Description

What team will I be part of?
You will be part of the leadership team at BioPharma Product Testing Czech Republic, reporting directly to the Managing Director Brno. You will lead the operations of key departments, ensuring high standards of efficiency, compliance and continuous improvement while managing day-to-day laboratory functions.
As a Business Unit Manager you will:
Lead and develop the BioPharma Product Testing Business Unit in Brno, ensuring efficient daily operations and adherence to regulatory standards.
Drive initiatives around operational excellence, productivity, cost reduction and optimisation, by implementing best in class processes.
Improve the technical and scientific aspects of the business unit, through the appropriate development and application of new techniques and business processes.
Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure that operational goals are achieved and that these goals are communicated to their individual teams.
Become a trusted and reliable partner to customers, leading and participating in meetings with key clients, developing detailed knowledge of customer requirements and ensuring a high level of customer service.
Foster a team-oriented environment, encouraging open communication, creativity, and collaboration in problem-solving.
Lead deployment of Eurofins IT solutions in the company (ComLIMS eLIMS EtQ).
Ensure cross-selling synergies with other Eurofins laboratories across Europe, leveraging expertise and resources.
Maintain compliance with all relevant legal, contractual, and quality standards, ensuring that the lab remains fully accredited in line with industry best practices and that all employees act in accordance with Eurofins' values.
Qualifications

You are a leader with strong people management and operations management skills, capable of driving operational excellence in a fast-paced, regulated environment. You thrive on optimising processes, leading teams, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.
Background: You bring at least 5 years of experience in an operations focused role, preferably in the biopharma or pharmaceutical sector. You have successfully led continuous improvement projects and managed budgets, showing a proven ability to increase productivity and profitability. You have an understanding of the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry working under GMP/ GLP.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field (natural sciences, pharmacy, biology, biotechnology, etc)
Skills:
- Very good people management skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop teams.
- Very good scientific and organisational skills with a focus on process optimisation and operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of the drug development process and the role of contract research organizations in preclinical research.
- Knowledge in GMP and GLP regulations.
- Very good communication skills (oral and written), with attention to detail and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Confident in using IT systems and applications (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, etc)
Language: Proficiency in Czech and English is a must.
Location: Brno. You are happy to be based on site during the week.
