Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

This position is responsible for direct sales activity within an assigned territory.

This position will work in the Baltimore Environmental Simulation Lab focusing on Military and Aerospace clients and could spend more than 50% of the time outside of the office making sales calls, traveling to clients, trade shows etc. 

REPORTING STRUCTURE

This position reports to the Sales Manager or the Sales Director, dependent upon the structure.

  • Work with Sales Manager to define and develop territory to increase new and existing sales
  • Growth of new and existing business, primarily accounts with 11-99K in revenue per year
  • Perform client research, prospecting, and networking
  • Collaborate with Marketing Department for strategic positioning
  • Attend/participate in trade shows
  • Create and facilitate client presentations
  • Maintain quote/order levels
  • Prepare sales reports and forecasts and write and follow-up on proposals
  • Maintain sales database
  • Follow through on sales transactions, specify appropriate standards, price and credit terms
  • Perform other work as required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ year’s successful account management, project management, testing, or sales experience within the military and aerospace community.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD testing including: MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-167, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, Military EMC testing such as RTCA DO-160.
  • Additional experience that could be of use: Altitude, Shock & Vibration, Fiberoptic, and other environmental simulation test conditions
  • Must be self-motivated and assertive and have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and superior presentation skills
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of computer systems (i.e., Microsoft Office) is essential
  • Experience working with diverse teams (engineering, operations, marketing) is preferred
  • Business to business sales experience is preferred
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Physical dexterity/mobility to travel via car, airplane and perform all clerical functions inherent to the position
