Job Description
Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories PSS is searching for an entry-level associate with experience in molecular biology to support the early antibody discovery and characterization work being done at our client’s site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the execution of high throughput molecular biology procedures using laboratory automation instruments such as liquid handlers; protein assays to support on-going protein therapeutic discovery project; and providing reagent support for the team.
Employee Responsibilities:
Independently execute high throughput molecular biology protocols and recombinant protein binding assays to support protein and peptide biotherapeutic discovery projects.
Work collaboratively with project teams on-site to achieve critical research objectives and timelines.
Interact productively with the antibody discovery, protein engineering and purification groups across the research site.
Appropriate documentation of all experimental results.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or 1-2 years of relevant laboratory experience preferred.
Experience in basic molecular biology techniques such as cell culture, PCR, restriction enzyme and recombination-based cloning, E. coli transformation, small scale plasmid DNA extraction and quantification required.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
Experience in the operation of high throughput liquid handlers, and dispensers preferred
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with project teams on-site to achieve critical research objectives and timelines.
Consistent and careful attention to detail
