Job Description

Eurofins Athens Analysis Laboratories is a private independent laboratory, that offers reliable and impartial testing services for food, water, cosmetics, medicines, dietary supplements, and environmental samples, contributing to the safety of the products and the protection of public health. 

Business Development Manager will be tasked to contribute to the significant growth of the Eurofins Athens Analysis Laboratories business in Greece and specifically our pharmaceutical products testing portfolio. Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing business development strategy in the given territory based on the business strengths and needs unique to the region.
  • Collaborating with the leadership on the strategy execution to meet the business growth objectives, structure new deals and build upon existing business relationships.
  • Strengthening the market position by creating, nurturing, and closing new business relationships to ensure consistent and rapid growth in sales.
  • Screening the market potential by analyzing direct competitors, identifying potential targets, and evaluating opportunities to convert generated leads to clients and bring the new business effectively to the Group.
  • Participating in congresses, seminars, and industry events to increase the brand visibility and recognition.
  • Acquiring further market knowledge by identifying and monitoring industry trends, customers drivers, major industry players and main decision makers.
  • Performing other duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

Education: a degree in life science (e.g. Chemistry, Pharmaceuticals, Microbiology, or related fields) is a must.

Experience: at least 3 years of professional experience in sales or business development in the pharma service environment.

Skills/abilities: in-depth technical knowledge about the pharmaceutical industry with an established client network.
Ability to design and execute business development strategy to contribute to the strategic
direction of the business.
Excellence in establishing and nurturing internal and external relationships combined with a customer-centric approach.
Strong aggressive business development skills with a hunter and winning mentality, drive for results, and proactive and can-do attitude, especially in driving footprint in new areas, with new clients.
Outstanding presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, both externally and internally.
Excellent language skills (verbal and written) in English.
Secure use of IT solutions (MS Office, CRM software).
