Job Description
Work in conjunction with Eurofins business units and lab operations to ensure top tier technical and scientific services are being offered. Utilize technical expertise to build client relations and product offerings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
- Advise and assist US Food labs on technical issues related to projects, bids and other issues
- Identify unique capabilities within Food Business Unit operations and facilitate the distribution of those Capabilities throughout company
- Develop relationships with industry segments to provide cross selling and facilitate Eurofins capabilities accross the US Food network
- Assist Eurofins operations with customer interactions to maintain Customer satisfaction
- Work with lab operations to improve the technical and scientific aspects of the business units, in order to facilitate the resolution of technical issues affecting client satisfaction and emerging opportunities.
- Work closely with Eurofins Microbiologists, Chemists, Auditors, Marketing/Sales and Client Services to develop ideas, and review of presentations.
- Take a leading part in the marketing and sales process, and ensure that the relations with the clients are good and effective.
- Attend and lead meetings with key clients, at all levels and develop an in depth knowledge of customer requirements through regular meetings.
- Act as a liaison to strengthen ties between Eurofins US operations and worldwide operations
- Make sure that cross-selling synergies with other Eurofins laboratories are being developed.
- Assist in building consulting program through technical reviews of programs and assist with inspections/client visits.
- Set-up and conduct sales calls, especially as it relates to targeted areas of emphasis and larger prospects
- In coordination with the management of the Business Units, develop strategies to achieve and/or expand market leadership in the US, while reaching and/or maintaining the required level of profitability.
- Identify new markets for our existing services and new services that we can offer to our existing clients.
- Work closely with Sales & Marketing team and Business Unit to keep them appraised of pending developments in the markets.
- Maintain active profile in various professional organizations.
- Attend trade shows and make presentations at trade shows and professional society meetings.
- Remain current on technical activities representing potential business opportunities for Eurofins through active participation in work groups and seminars.
- Prepare and submit an End of the Month report each month.
- Lead according to Eurofins Leadership Charter and act as a role model for leadership and staff.
- Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
- Performs other duties as assigned
Specific Assignment Details Continued:
- Provide regulatory expertise to Eurofins and clientele
- Provide program assistance to Eurofins and clientele (examples being, HACCP, export, organic, BRC, SQF, etc.)
- Provide crisis / recall support
- Provide in plant investigation support
- Perform in plant validation sampling along with report generation to clientele
- Work closely with Eurofins auditing and certification business unit / help develop industry relative training and auditing services
- Work closely with Eurofins technologies to advance platform capabilities to support the meat industry
- Attend all relative trade shows and engage in speaking or presenting when possible
- Strategic account management and relations
- Engage and recruit future meat division talent
- Develop and drive collaboration between meat division and marketing division
- Attend and lead meetings with both existing and new clients in the industry

Education/Experience
- Masters with ten plus years of relevant industry experience
- PhD with five plus years of relevant industry experience
