Job Description

The Quality Assurance (QA) Associate reports to the QA Manager and performs the following functions:

 

  1. Monitors support equipment program;
  2. Assists with generation and review of Control Charts and Method Detection Limit (MDL) studies;
  3. Prepares logbooks for use in the laboratory;
  4. Transcribes hard copy documents into a digital platform;
  5. Assists with organization of the corrective action system;
  6. Assists QA Manager with accreditation authorities including updating certification module and gathering information for renewals and amendment applications;
  7. Assists in maintaining accurate information in LIMS modules including Method Limit Groups, sample splitting, equipment information, etc.
  8. Assists the Quality Specialists and lab staff with internal audits, corrective action review, test method assessments, and overall implementation of the QA program;
  9. Assists in scheduling of proficiency testing samples and other QC samples, including holding blanks;
  10. Responsible for guidance in on-boarding new employees, creating new-hire packets, assigning new hire tasks and follow-up of their completion, and maintaining training records.
  11. Additional duties may be required to meet laboratory demands

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science related field is preferred, minimum of an Associates in Science required.
  • College level writing skills 
  • Adherence to safety protocol and operation procedures; 
  • Excellent customer service with a resourceful and collaborative approach in solving problems
  • Ability to function in an environment of constant change and conflicting priorities;
  • Communicate well with coworkers and management; read, understand and comply with SOPs
  • Concentrate, focus, and be attentive to details
  • Use a keyboard to enter data; work under medium to high stress level
  • Knowledge of HTML helpful

 

Additional Information

Compensation range: $18 - $22 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Position is full-time, with a work schedule of Monday - Friday 9AM - 6PM with possible overtime and weekends. 

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base compensation of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
