Job Description

EAG Laboratories (a Eurofins company) has a great opportunity for a Reliability Application Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team. The Reliability Application Engineer has the critical role of running reliability jobs on state-of-the-art products and interfacing directly with clients to define scope of work, develop technical requirements and programs, debug and resolve issues, and communicate schedule and status.

EAG’s engineers engage in engineer-to-engineer interaction to discuss and comprehensively understand client issues, demands, goals, and urgency, to define the device problems, develop and execute analysis, and report back results.  This is a hands-on position that requires problem-solving skills to perform a wide range of analytical work. 

Our laboratory in Santa Clara, CA, provides a range of specialized Engineering services to accelerate product release, address capability and capital equipment gaps, solve manufacturing problems and manage risk. We offer the broadest, the most comprehensive range of microelectronics services of any commercial organization with large scale brick and mortar install base of systems and tools and the engineering expertise to design, develop, test, analyze, and debug the most innovative technologies and products. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related experience
  • Knowledge in reliability stress testing, systems, techniques, and industry standards such as JEDEC and AEC-Q100
  • MUST have experience in debugging hardware (boards)
  • Proficient in the use of instruments; DMM, oscilloscope, microscopes, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Good vision, analytical, process-oriented, strong technical understanding, and excellent troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple major and concurrent projects and able to modify plans as requirements dictate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Project/program management experience is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skillset to interact/engage with customers and team
  • Quality control inspection experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of basic camera/photography functions and skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to handle small and fragile devices with tweezers and/or fingers
  • Require close distance visual acuity with or without correction (Glasses, Contacts, etc.)  
  • Ability to move equipment or items up to 50 lbs. (with assistance)
  • Must be willing and able to wear PPE such as hard-hat, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, laboratory coat and/or any other devices or equipment as required

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $95,000-$102,000/yr. (Salary is commensurate with experience and degree of technical expertise.)
