Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Manages company’s human resources activities.  Works collaboratively with leadership and other human resources leadership to develop human resources strategies, policies, and procedures that support corporate objectives and comply with state and federal employment law. Leads the implementation of defined programs to promote workforce productivity, stability, and employee satisfaction company-wide.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:(Responsibilities, Accountabilities, and Competencies:  May not include all duties of this job)

Job Duties:

  • Develops and implements strategies and programs in support of employee retention, professional development, talent acquisition, etc.
  • Advises supervisors, managers, directors, and executives in the transfer, promotion, development, performance management, and termination of employees.  Facilitates resolution of employee conflict and grievances.
  • Compiles and submits various required regulatory reports in addition to salary surveys.
  • Identifies, develops, and implements new programs in support of staff satisfaction and company goals and objectives.
  • May develop and provide professional development in areas such as leadership, employee performance management, supervisory skills, regulatory and employment laws, diversity, and prevention of discrimination or other topics.
  • Administers the employee performance appraisal process and participates in annual review of the process to ensure best practices are followed.  Provides training in goal setting and performance appraisal process.
  • Interprets and recommends fair and objective application of approved human resources and other company policies.
  • Based on own research, makes recommendations for modifications to practices, policies, and procedures for department and corporate programs.
  • Keeps current with current human resources practices and new developments, pending and new laws and regulations.  Advises senior management on revisions to policies to ensure company policies are compliant with changing labor, pay, and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Serve as lead AAP officer for legal entity.
  • Performs other related duties as required and directed.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, industrial relations, organizational development, human resources, or other related field.  Master’s or other advanced degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of management experience including at least three years of supervisory experience.  PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.

Reasoning Ability:

Computer Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel is required. 
  • Knowledge of Word and PowerPoint is highly desirable.
  • Experience with and knowledge of HRIS is preferred.

Attendance:

  • Regular and reliable attendance is a requirement of this position.

English Language and Language Skills:

  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and speak English. 
  • Written documentation is legible and sufficiently fluent (in English) to be understood by others.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret publications and regulations.

Additional Information

This position is Full Time, Onsite-  Monday- Friday, 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply.
