Job Description

The core responsibilities of the Sales Manager - Food & Feed Finland include:

  • Assume direct responsibility for 25 existing company key accounts, which account for approximately 50% of the company's total annual revenue.
  • Prepare quotations, close deals with structure, discipline and goal-orientation and communicate on a daily basis with Eurofins lab production teams on various operational topics. 
  • Drive new business growth and grow existing client portfolio.
  • Lead a sales team of 3 account managers & 1 sales assistant, ensuring the field sales are working with the right customers, right sales approach & tactics. 
  • Conduct product portfolio reviews and customer & market analysis to identify key targets for growth and develop an attractive value proposition.
  • Develop and execute a short, mid- and long-term sales & marketing strategy for Food & Feed Finland. 
  • Liaise with Eurofins within the business line and cross Business Lines to ensure cross selling opportunities where appropriate.
  • Continually keep abreast of latest developments in the industry through attending events, networking and industry associations and representing Eurofins through active speaking opportunities, participations in industry events, roundtable discussions.
  • Enhance client relationships through provision of professional support services & and customer care
  • Participate in new product development projects and launch of new services

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in sales in a relevant field, with excellent business acumen, focusing on business growth
  • Experience or otherwise proven ability to take over full responsibility of a sales organization
  • Strong strategic and operational skills (able to lead and manage daily sales operations independently, including personal responsibility for a number of key accounts)
  • Ideally, a solid understanding of the food industry/food value chain (and understanding key analytical needs associated with this industry sector)
  • Fluent communication skills (FI & EN at minimum)
  • Based in Turku or the greater Helsinki region.
  • Willingness & ability to travel frequently, mainly in the geographical area of Southern and Central Finland, less frequently abroad
