Job Description
Eurofins National Service Center US, is searching for a Benefits Manager to support our U.S Network of Labs. The U.S Benefits Manager is responsible for oversight and support of administration of the employee health, welfare and retirement plans. The focus of the role will be to lead a team of 4-6 direct reports to develop and maintain benefits communications and materials for the U.S network of laboratories. Act as a liaison between employee and insurance providers to resolve benefit related issues and to ensure effective utilization of plans and positive employee relations. Manage benefits staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Collaborate with HR leadership team to ensure smooth running and service of HR department for all US employees and business units in accordance with vision, values, and strategic goals of the company.
Benefits Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Oversee and support administration of employee benefits programs such as 401(k), health, dental, vision, EAP, FSA, short and long-term disability programs, life insurance, leave programs and voluntary benefits
- Implement approved new benefit plans and changes by preparing announcement material, summaries, update of benefits manual, and other communication of new/changed plans for employees
- Revise and reissue benefit materials annually as needed
- Manage annual open enrollment period and benefit re-enrollment processing. Coordinate process and timeline with benefit providers. Ensure all enrollments submitted to providers on timely basis prior to effective date of January 1 for all benefit plans.
- Lead benefit integration of acquired US companies, employee communication and full integration into company benefits and policies
- Assist with preparation and ongoing management of benefits budget
- Oversee the reconciliation of all insurance bills and benefits billing to business units
- Coach, train and develop direct reports to maximize individual and team performance
- Ensure compliance with ACA regulations, including annual reporting, medical plan coverage eligibility and affordability
- Ensure legal compliance under all state and federal laws, including ERISA, DOL, IRS, etc.
- Lead team, schedule, and train employees
- Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations
- Ensurek continued team coverage and aid in individuals performance growth
- Foster strong team morale and engagement
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would possess:
- Oracle HRIS experience preferred
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
- Strong leadership, initiative, and teambuilding skills
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
- Minimum 5 years related management experience in benefits management
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
