Job Description
Eurofins Xenco, LLC is seeking an Inorganics Manager to join our team. Eurofins Xenco, LLC is a nationally accredited lab that provides a full range of analytical testing services encompassing Environmental Testing (including fracking), Asbestos and Indoor Air Quality, and Microbiology as well as emergency response laboratory services.
The Supervisor is in charge of handling all day to day operations of the respective area. The main focus of the role will be managing the Wet Chemistry and Metals departments and ensure on-time-delivery.
Duties include:
- Schedule and supervise the work of employees, that includes approving time cards, scheduling and approving Paid Time Off and taking measures to keep department properly staffed.
- Take disciplinary action with the assistance of Human Resources personnel.
- Coordinate workflow and ongoing projects each day concerning all reports, analyses and samples due date, and create work schedule for the analysts.
- Coordinate with other Supervisors throughout the day on “Rush projects” and all work orders that have methods from different departments.
- Oversee the development of unusual analyses
- Maintain proper QA protocols with the assistance of the QA department.
- Provide reviews and recommendations to the Business Unity Manager and Lab Director/Manager for all Analysts, Group Leaders and Technicians.
- Budget the laboratory expenditures coordinating with upper management, accounting and the supervisors.
- Assist the QA department in performing PE samples, in house audits, and other QA/QC related matters.
- Coordinate any “special” experimentation required by clients and set up any “unusual” analyses for those clients that require it.
- Provide Project Manager and Operations Director/Manager with technical information.
- Review the SOPs and Logbooks of relevant department.
Qualifications
- Experience in operations in a scientific testing laboratory with high production volume. Environmental Laboratory experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental science, Chemistry or similar field desirable
- Proven analytical, planning skills, and personnel management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing
- Business Acumen
- Computer literacy including a competent level of Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word).
- Knowledge of a LIMS software.
- Excellent team work
Additional Information
This position is Full-time Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00 pm. (hours may vary).
This position is required to be onsite. It is not a remote position.
