Job Description
EBPT NL is seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to focus on the Biologics market. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for driving growth and creating new business opportunities the Biologics market. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of the Biologics market and identify key growth opportunities in alignment with the company's strategy.
- Create and execute a comprehensive annual Sales/Business Development Plan for the Biologics market segment, including targeted account plans with SMART action plans and schedules to achieve new business development and account objectives.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, both internal and external, to foster collaboration and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Conduct thorough research on new markets and emerging trends, presenting findings to internal stakeholders to explore strategic fit.
- Propose and develop new products, services, and strategic partnerships to enhance the company's market position and competitiveness in the Biologics segment.
- Manage the end-to-end commercial sales process, from initial contact to contract execution, including the development of compelling proposals and skilful negotiation.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of sales opportunities through intensive networking, representation at events and conferences, and other business development initiatives.
- Set and achieve individual sales targets on an annual basis, demonstrating a strong focus on results and business growth.
- Collaborate closely with Operations and Project Management teams to support the generation of repeat business and ensure seamless project execution.
- Proactively identify potential leads and promptly follow up on business opportunities.
- Establish and foster long-term customer relationships through direct engagement, face-to-face meetings, customer events, and active participation in industry events.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date customer data within the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Effectively communicate the company's mission, vision, values, and unique value proposition to create lasting business partnerships.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of a M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, Ir. or Ph.D.) is preferred.
- Proven track record of at least 5 years in business development, sales, or account management within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Strong expertise and focus on the Biologics market.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive business growth.
- Creative problem solver with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and development in Business Development.
- Fluent in English (both verbal and written); fluency in Dutch is preferred.
