Job Description

We are seeking a full-time experienced Chemist at our laboratory located in Edmonton. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. If you are a knowledgeable, committed, and driven individual, this position is for you.

  • Preparation and analysis of environmental samples
  • Provide customer service to clients
  • Responsible for the data reported by the laboratory
  • Ensures that QC standards are implemented, understood and administered, as per company policy and to meet ISO 17025 requirements
  • Establishes or adjusts workflow to meet turn around time scheduled
  • Assist in Laboratory internal/external audits
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Position requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Science of Chemistry;
  • Work experience in a laboratory setting;
  • QC experience in a lab setting is an asset;
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task;
  • GCMS experience;
  • ICP Experience;
  • XRD experience;
  • Must be willing and able to work extra hours and weekend when needed to meet business demands;
  • Work hours 7:30 am-4:00pm Monday – Friday (potential overtime as needed).
