Job Description
Working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm
This is a hybrid working position, with 2-3 days required in the Wolverhampton office.
- Lead, supervise, and structure of monthly payroll and fortnightly expenses runs, in line with Government guidelines and company deadlines
- Co-ordinate, monthly checks of the payroll tasks, prioritising weekly set structures and day to day workload of the team
- Working alongside the Payroll Manager to reconcile monthly payroll run to include, but not limited to, validation checks, auto enrolment processing, reconciliation, generating BACS data, RTI submission and issuing P45’s
- Writing and reviewing payroll processes, expenses & credit card policies
- Ensuring compliance for NLW/NMW regulations and holiday pay supplements and notifying HR of any upcoming changes required
- Conduct data cleansing checks within the team to ensure systems are accurate and up to date, ensuring team keep master sheets updated for leavers and inactivate where required
- Lead, supervise and structure P11D(b) & PAYE settlement agreements/applications checking, chasing, and filing
- Set up third party payments, review court orders and priority orders and P11D/payrolling benefits
- Car tracking and data cleansing on mileage rates, co-ordinating P11D expenses requirements
- Covering payroll manager when on annual leave, attending meetings, making decisions
- Conducting staff one-to-ones and regular team catch ups
- When required, manage the Payroll and Expenses recruitment process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience of working within in a Payroll Supervisor role.
- Excellent administrative and organisation skills with a high degree of accuracy, as this role will include payroll calculation queries.
- Strong communication skills, with a customer service focus and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships at all levels.

- Methodical, organised, and accurate
- Be capable to working with minimal supervision.
- Continuous up to date knowledge of HMRC legislation and ruling around statutory payments.
- Good organisation skills with the ability to lead projects.
- Strong knowledge and experience of using Oracle Fusion would be advantageous but not essential.
- Willing to offer occasional flexibility in your hours of work where necessary to meet deadlines.
