Job Description
- The Vice President, Integrated Laboratory Services is to lead and work effectively across multiple departments to direct the delivery of global projects on-time with a focus on operational excellence.
- The position directly oversees the following groups: Project management, Project Set-up Management, Investigator Services, PBMC Project Management, Alliance Management
- This position will provide direct supervision, support, training and mentoring to project managers and work with leadership in all functional areas on continuous improvement of business processes
- This position will represent ECL Leadership at key client and strategic meetings
- Oversees and is accountable for the daily activities of global project team members to initiate new clinical trial protocols and supports existing trials in accordance with client requirements, ECL Standards, and regulatory compliance
- Provides ongoing coaching and mentorship supported by routine performance metrics to identify clear performance feedback and career development plans
- Facilitates communication with designated clients as a point of escalation or strategic point of contact to ensure ECL delivers best in class service
- Represents ECL global project management leadership at key client meetings, audits or strategic discussions as needed
- Drives the investigation of errors deviations or non-conformances, the preparation of corrective and preventive action plans (CAPAs) and communication of the same with clients as needed within defined timelines
- Identifies and/or leads cross functional process improvement initiatives to optimize operational capabilities
Qualifications
Experience and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Lab/Medical Technology and/or science related degree (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, etc.) is preferred. Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s degree in Business Management or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Ten years of clinical trials experience in project management, project set-up, or another related area of expertise.
- At least seven years progressive management experience.

- Proficient supervisory and management skills, directing and managing the work of laboratory professionals and supervisory staff, including determination of work priorities, auditing work quality, orienting and training, evaluating and discipline of staff.
- Proficient knowledge in the theory and application of computer systems related to clinical laboratories.
