Summary: Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Biosafety is looking for a group leader to provide technical expertise and oversight of a new Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) effort. The scientist will serve as the NGS subject matter expert and will be responsible for purchase, installation, and validation of equipment according to the business plan for a next generation sequencing (NGS) laboratory. This individual will also lead the development, validation, and execution of NGS methods for commercial offering. The role requires an understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) regulations and biopharmaceutical testing. Previous leadership experience and effective communication skills would benefit this role.

Minimum Qualifications:

• MS or PhD in Molecular Biology/Genetics, Genomics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience working in a GMP environment within an industrial biotech organization.
• Next Generation Sequencing subject matter expert.
• Knowledge of genomics methodology and instrumentation.
• Experience with purchasing, installing, and validating equipment for NGS laboratory.
• Experience developing and validating NGS methods for commercial offering.
