Job Description

  • Operate Scinomix, Hamilton and other automation systems to assist with the preparation of samples in a pharmaceutical testing lab
  • Troubleshoot basic coding and mechanical issues that may arise during the use of automation equipment or at least be able to pinpoint where possible issues are in the process
  • Enter data into Laboratory Information Management system
  • Document test preparations results in notebooks and reports
  • Assist client with method assessment/development through the use of automation equipment to prepare samples for high throughput lab environments

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate would possess:

·       Strong computer, mechanical, and organizational skills

·       Experience with automation systems including liquid handlers such as Scinomix or Hamilton automation systems. As well as experience with different coding languages such as Python or R.

·       Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

·       Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Minimum Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)

·       At least 2 years related laboratory experience

  • Experience Pipetting

Additional Information

  • Position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to Indianapolis, IN are encouraged to apply.
