Job Description

  • Participates in method optimization and qualification for clinical chemistry methods.
  • Participates in technical transfer and impurity clearance testing for clinical drug products.
  • Reviews documentation and data to ensure completeness and compliance with standards; reports any quality anomalies.
  • Complies with all pertinent regulatory agency requirements including but not limited to good manufacturing, documentation, and laboratory practices.
  • Participates in required training activities.
  • Maintains laboratory supplies.
  • Calibrates or verifies calibration of instruments/devices prior to use.
  • Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
  • Interacts with outside customers or functional peer groups.
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

 

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Lead an Chemistry Development team of three other analysts in a GMP regulated development lab
  • Coordinates, supports, and monitors performance of team through testing and quality metrics while ensuring client deadlines are met
  • Coordinates with client contacts to communicate status of deliverables, determine priorities, and set timelines.
  • Set individual and team goals to develop the scope of work and responsibilities of the team
  • Manage time off and payroll entries of the team
  • May participate in new hire interviews
  • Supports the on-boarding process of new employees
  • Participates in training of other employees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or other science related degree, or equivalent directly related experience
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Experience working with HPLC, UPLC, and/or LCMS strongly preferred
  • Experience operating inside of a GMP environment
  • Level will be determined based on relevant education and/or experience

Position is full-time, 1st shift, Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY and the surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.
