Job Description
The Genomic Sciences team develops and implements high-throughput cutting-edge assays to better understand disease mechanism and to identify and validate new targets and biomarkers. The group utilizes innovative genetic screening and multi-omics single cell approaches such as simultaneous RNA and protein profiling, immune repertoire profiling, CROP-seq/Perturb-Seq, and Spatial Transcriptomics platforms to impact all stages of the drug development pipeline from pre-clinical to clinical development. In this position, you will contribute to the development and execution of spatial transcriptomic experiments. Successful candidates will be an active participant in the scientific dialogue of the group and will be able to work independently and proactively collaborate with colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, executing, and troubleshooting experiments utilizing spatially resolved transcriptomics.
- Participate in troubleshooting and optimizing Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and Spatial Transcriptomics experimental workflows to ensure high level of quality and reliability of generated results.
- Manage timelines and deliverables, develop reports for various projects, and clearly communicate results and findings clearly and concisely to teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members and across therapeutic areas (i.e., neuroscience, infectious diseases & vaccines, cardiometabolic disorders)
Qualifications
Education minimum requirement
- MS or PhD degree in molecular and cell biology or related disciplines such as neuroscience, immunology, cancer biology, or biological engineering with 4+ years of wet lab experience in academia or industry.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Keen understanding of experimental design, underlying scientific principles, and the ability to rigorously analyze and document results.
- Hands-on wet lab experience in molecular biology assays, especially Next Generation Sequencing and/or other high throughput genomic technologies.
- Hands-on experience in cutting edge transcriptomic technologies such as multi-omics single cell sequencing and spatial technologies.
- Hands-on experience in immunohistochemistry/in situ hybridization or other related histological techniques.
- Hands-on experience in high content imaging.
- Strong ability to quickly learn new skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform accurate data analysis and carefully maintain a notebook record of lab activities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including preparation of lab reports and presentations. Strong attention to detail.
- This position requires up to 90% of time in the lab.

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday. 8:00-5:00pm are the hours. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Cambridge, MA are encouraged to apply.
