Job Description

DNA Diagnostics Center is the world leader in DNA relationship testing, processing over one million DNA samples from customers all over the world. Our broad portfolio of products includes our Paternity, Immigration, and other DNA Relationship services for consumers, government agencies, healthcare providers, and legal professionals; PeekabooTM Early Gender DNA Test for expecting mothers; SpermCheck fertility and vasectomy test; and Pets & Vets DNA testing for breeders and pet enthusiasts. OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

The Kit Assembler exemplifies DDC’s commitment to excellence by packaging our variety of test kit options with the correct components   A successful Kit Assembler is driven to meet goals and deadlines and fulfilling customer orders in a timely and consistent manner. Accuracy and attention to detail are a must for this role. Opportunity to learn additional shipping duties, including pulling client orders from shipping website channels and using shipping and company software applications.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assembles components of diagnostic testing kits to company specifications and customer expectations in a manner consistent with the company’s quality and productivity standards.
  • Inspects all parts for proper assembly and cosmetic defects.
  • Perform in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished products.
  • Support all efforts and procedures to maintain optimal manufacturing conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and all related SOPs. 
  • Ensure production areas are clean and organized.   
  • Continually work to achieve assigned production goals. 
  • Prevent mix-up of products, materials, labels, and other components.
  • Maintain daily product logbooks as directed. 
  • Ensure and maintain compliance with the Company’s quality system requirements through training and adherence to policies, procedures and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) to two (2) years previous assembly/packaging experience; previous experience in a regulated medical device manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment strongly preferred.  
  • Familiarity with GDP and GMP a plus.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination needed.
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Collaborate and work effectively with others.
  • Completion of HIPPA training

 

DESIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Proficient computer and typing skills with the ability to learn new software is a plus
  • Previous shipping software experience is a plus
