Job Description
Eurofins BioPharma Business Line is a global, premium-class contract research organization (CRO) covering the whole chain of drug development including the preclinical and clinical phases with focus on Early Development, Central Laboratory Services and Biopharmaceutical Product Testing.
Within this International Business line, BioPharma Product Testing (BPT) spans the complete product development cycle by performing analyses at every stage: API & impurities analysis, stability studies, method development and validation, packaging testing (suitability, protection, sterility), cleaning validation, environmental documentation, sterility testing and hygiene monitoring, for small and large molecules.

We are looking for the Business Development Executive to support the significant growth of Biopharma Product Testing business in Ireland. Responsibilities:
- Business Development. Strengthening the market position by creating, nurturing, and closing new business relationships to ensure consistent and rapid growth in sales. Identification and winning new accounts to achieve business plan with allocated markets/clients.
- Account Development planning. Analysis of clients’ organization and activities to assess the potential requirements that the clients may have for Eurofins Biopharma Product Testing (EBPT) services. The job holder must continually develop knowledge of the outsourcing strategy of the assigned clients and develop short, medium and long term strategies that result in maximizing the opportunities to provide the clients with analytical services. Account Development will involve collaboration with counterparts from other sites and business units.
- Overall responsibility for the provision of on time, high quality proposals that present the optimum solution for the client while ensuring on or above plan profitability. Assessment of test requirements, methods and other client supplied study specifications and information in conjunction with Operations, Project Management, Pricing, and other EBPT functions to help design service solutions that meet clients’ requirements.
- Commercial. Management of contractual processes including confidentiality agreements, preferred provider/master services agreements/pricing agreements. Responsible for the resolution of commercial issues/negotiations with support and oversight from senior management.
- Reporting. Provision of account, activity and market status reports as required on a local or global basis as appropriate.
- Continuous improvement. Identification of opportunities for improvement of quality and service with client group, formulation and implementation of action plans for continuous improvement.
- Other tasks/duties that may be required in order to perform the role.
Qualifications
Are you our kind of extraordinary?
- Degree level or equivalent in the relevant subject (Life Science fields) or demonstrable relevant business experience.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in sales or business development, preferably in CRO, pharmaceutical or life science sectors.
- Knowledge of the drug development process, the role of contract research organizations in preclinical research and GMP & GLP regulations is a must.
- An established network of contacts within the biotech/pharma industry.
- Teamwork especially in a matrix management organization. Ability to influence across functions across Eurofins sites and companies to achieve objectives & to be credible at a senior level within Eurofins and client organizations.
- Proven networking skills – must be able to network internally across all functions and externally with client organizations and other service providers.
- Capable of contributing to the strategic direction of the business and able to work with counterparts within EBPT globally to achieve business objectives.
- Good communication skills both internally and externally. Ability to understand clients’ requirements and to be able to devise and articulate the most appropriate solutions.
