Job Description
Eurofins BPT-Columbia is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team located in Columbia, Missouri. The Financial Analyst position is an intermediate-level professional position responsible for developing, interpreting, and implementing accounting and financial concepts or techniques for financial activities, planning and control.
- Responsible for revenue recognition and reporting of WIP, Deferred and Accrued Sales.
- Assist in reducing Work in Process and Accrued Sales.
- Ensure that billings of fee-for-service and FTE contracts, including pass-through costs, are accurate and timely.
- Assist in the collection of Accounts Receivable by providing information to staff.
- Assist in review, analysis and presentation of financial statements.
- Assists in the development of the budgets, forecasts and other financial requirements.
- Forecasts operating expenses and depreciation.
- Prepares and assists with management of the capital expenditure budget; monitors actual spending versus projected.
- Makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.
- Identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly.
- Researches and prepares reports on subjects such as DSO, on-time payment analysis and ad-hoc needs.
- Tracks and follow up on Invoices Not Received in the Coupa procurement system.
- Tracks and follows up on missing receipts in the Coupa procurement system.
- Review purchases, as needed, to ensure accurate coding.
- Performs other related duties as required and directed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other related degree.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience is required.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Additional Information
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am.- 5:00 pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Columbia, MO are encouraged to apply.
