Job Description

Eurofins BPT-Columbia is looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our team located in Columbia, Missouri. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing IT\Solutions projects overseeing product development projects and process improvement initiatives. Manages projects focusing on the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget and within scope. Responsible for the successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • End-to-End ownership of the project and its successful delivery; on time within budget with quality and the right deliverables.
  • Responsible for managing both small and large technology related, transformational projects.
  • Understands and executes standard project deliverables in accordance with the Eurofins key group policy.
  • Works with the various departments to achieve alignment on the supportability and architectural standards related to the technology being implemented.
  • Prepares and runs team meetings, PMO meeting, and updates to stakeholders.
  • Communicates project status internally and manages communication between the project team and its stakeholders.
  • Participates in and leads project related meetings.
  • Plays an active role in the solution design, learning the subject matter, asks questions and challenges the team and stakeholders.
  • Assembles and leads project team(s) consisting of company employees (both IT and Business) & vendor resources).
  • Tracks, forecasts and owns the project financials.
  • Manages issues and risks effectively, ensuring mitigations are in place and communicated to all stakeholders.
  • Clarifies the purpose, goals, scope and deliverables.
  • Builds, structures and aligns the project plan with the relevant parties.
  • Drives the design of the solution to meet the deliverables.
  • Ensures the solution is developed successfully.
  • Guides the change management process effectively.
  • Performs other related duties as required and directed.

The ideal candidate would possess:

  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Desired experience with local solutions (eLMIS, ELN, EtQ)
  • Desired network & infrastructure experience
  • Desired understanding of software development life cycle
  • ITIL, ITSM, PMP certifications a plus
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience as Project Manager/Program Manager
  • Must have experience working with Microsoft Teams
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am.- 4:30 pm, with overtime as needed.
