Job Description

The Role:

Management of the day-to-day marketing and communications activities for the Leather Working Group. Primarily driving LWG’s responsible leather-sourcing communications and marketing across global audiences and promoting our sustainability certification for stakeholders.

Main duties: 

  • Deliver and help develop the LWG marketing and communications strategy
  • Manage the marketing and communications budget
  • Regular reporting of marketing and communications KPI’s
  • Develop focused marketing campaigns and activities for LWG’s international multi-stakeholder audiences
  • Create engaging marketing materials, including images, videos and other shareable content for the LWG website, events, and social media channels.
  • Write articles and develop new content, manage press releases, ensuring regular daily/weekly external information and marketing flow – including a monthly newsletter and annual report
  • Regular monitoring of, and engagement with, social media channels
  • Develop creative, visually appealing presentations and templates for training webinars, member meetings and various sub-group meetings and external audiences
  • Conduct market research and analysis to gain insights to support the team to drive proactive communications
  • Help develop and maintain the LWG website content
  • Manage the SEO performance of the website to achieve and maintain high website rankings in key providers such as Google.
  • Liaise with external suppliers (e.g. web developers, graphic designers, etc.) as needed
  • Respond to marketing and communication-related enquiries within agreed KPIs
  • Management of LWG brand, for internal consistency and external usage
  • Provide support to the rest of the LWG team as required

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For:

  • Degree educated in a marketing / communications-related subject and/or relevant work experience in a related industry
  • Proven relevant experience in a similar role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write marketing and communication materials (press-releases, news articles, social media, email)
  • The ability to work well and in a professional manner with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Essential IT skills::
    • MS office suite, especially PowerPoint
    • CRM software (specifically Salesforce)
    • Mailchimp or equivalent
    • All social media platforms
  • Desirable IT Skills:
    • Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
    • Canva
    • Google Ads
    • Google Analytics
    • China-specific social media platforms
    • SEMrush
    • Sharepoint (cloud-based file storage)
  • Have a creative eye and be tech-savvy and eager to learn new skills
  • An interest in sustainability in the footwear and fashion industries
  • The ability and willingness to travel internationally when required
  • Well-organised and excellent attention to detail
  • Awareness of political sensitivities

Additional Information

This is a fixed-term contract and you will be employed by Eurofins BLC working for the Leather Working Group.
