Job Description
The Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for analysis of financial and/or business data to extract and define relevant information; interpretation of data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to forecast financial status; and leading analysis or business projects across a wide array of departmental and business functions for the assigned business unit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluating historical and current financial data to understand the company’s financial condition
- Assist in the monthly financial forecasting process, review forecasts with local business management team
- Ensure key financial metrics: e.g., working capital, DSO, DPO, etc. are met according to budget and forecast
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the business issues driving variances to budget and forecast
- Provide support in the annual financial budget process
- Provide financial analysis for the business as required
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity by self-identifying opportunities for improved analysis and business opportunities
- Design, implement, and utilize departmental operations systems
- Review general ledger and all sub-systems throughout the monthly close cycle to assure accurate close
- Prepares month-end and follows the month-end deliverables and deadlines
- Follow up on client past due accounts receivables
- Lead various business improvement projects
- Support M&A activities as required
- Provide support in the weekly revenue review with various department leaders
- Assist during company audits and other special projects
- Communicate with external and internal clients including upper management
- Maintain a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
- Provides cross-functional support to other departments as required
- Adjusts work hours as needed to meet deadlines
- Performs other duties as required
- Ensures adherence to Eurofins financial policies, rules, and regulations
- Adheres to site employee health and safety (EHS) requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or other Business related field required
- 1-2 years of Accounting/Finance experience
- CPA or MBA preferred
- Excellent computer, accounting, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in financial spreadsheets
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and flawless attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to adapt to new environments, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, organize effectively, and comply with company and corporate policies.

Physical Requirements:
- Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and other office equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead
- Ability to speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably with sufficient volume to ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting
- Ability to continuously operate a personal computer for extended periods of time (4 or more hours)
- Mental acuity sufficient to collect and interpret data, evaluate, reason, define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, make valid judgments and decisions
