Job Description

Support various human factors activities in support of customer programs. Activities may include but are not limited to:

  • Study planning and logistics
  • Lab support (video management, room setup)
  • Literature reviews
  • Study observation and facilitation
  • Data Input
  • Study moderation
  • Study material development
  • Reviewing reports for data integrity (i.e. QC’ing)

Support research specific activities such as:

  • Exploratory Research (contextual inquiry studies; user interviews and focus groups; user, environment, and task modeling; task analysis)
  • Heuristics Reviews
  • Use-Related Risk Analysis
  • User Interface Design
  • Formative Usability Testing
  • Human Factors Validation Testing
  • Comparative Usability Testing
  • Sharps Handling Testing

Further develop expertise in human factors knowledge and methods and human factors regulatory requirements.

Conduct work activities in compliance with negotiated timelines and budgets.

Conduct work activities in accordance with the Human Factors MD Quality Management System.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, or a related discipline (candidates with Associate Degrees may be considered on an exceptional basis)
  • An understanding of the healthcare industry and the roles of HCPs and Patients.
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a distributed company
  • Effective team-player
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities; detail-oriented, self-driven, fast-learner Mastery of Microsoft Word and Excel (ability to use advanced features, formatting, and formulas)
  • Ability to travel to customer sites and healthcare facilities throughout North America
