Job Description

  • Provide microbiological testing support
  • Provide analytical testing support services using standard analytical and characterization techniques (TOC, Residue on Ignition, Compendial ID Tests)
  • Provide sampling services (collection, processing, testing) and data analysis
  • Responsible for accurate and real-time documentation and data entry
  • Provide Micro Lab support including ordering supplies, monitoring equipment,
  • Provide laboratory infrastructure support such as media maintenance, stock culture maintenance, equipment maintenance/calibrations/logbooks, procedure maintenance (SOP’s, test procedures, etc.), purchasing/inventory support, autoclaving and training
  • Cross-trained to support all team members in the department (reference standard dispensing, stability sample management, metrology)
  • Provide backup support to ensure on time testing services
  • Provide customer service and exhibit customer interface skills
  • Ensure that SOP’s are documented and activities performed according to the appropriate SOP
  • Ensure training is performed and that training logs are maintained

Qualifications

  • Skilled in analytical testing instrumentation
  • Knowledge of general microbiology techniques
  • Knowledge of USP and other regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, instrument software applications and laboratory management software systems
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral, interpersonal and written) skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

 

Qualifications:

•         BS in Chemistry, Biology or other related scientific degree concentration

•                     2+ years of lab experience in biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry

•                     Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Ridgefield, CT are encouraged to apply.
