Job Description

How can you contribute?

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Infrastructure Network Engineer to strengthen our talented global IT Infrastructure Team based in Hamburg, DE.

As an Infrastructure Network Engineer at Eurofins, you will:

  • Operate, administer and manage the LAN, WLAN and WAN infrastructure for more than 35,000 employees worldwide, as well as for corporate customers;
  • Regularly monitor the performance, functionality and capacity of the network;
  • Create documentation to ensure the smooth transition of new technologies into production and efficient operational support for these technologies;
  • Aid in the continuous improvement of the technical environment and its adaptation to current requirements;
  • Support the operations team in network-wide escalations;
  • Implement SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure high-quality processes.


Are you our kind of extraordinary?

  • Bachelor degree in IT or comparable (IHK / BA / FH);
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience; 
  • Good knowledge of LAN / WAN / WLAN topologies, Proxies, Load Balancers (A10 load balancer experience preferred) and Network security (Firewall, VPN);
  • Good knowledge of networking and datacenter technologies, switching, routing, VoIP and high-availability using Cisco components;
  • Previous experience in the deployment and administration of various Cisco Solutions is preferable;
  • ITIL-based Incident management experience is ideal;
  • Good knowledge of the management and configuration of Cisco switching and routing devices and Cisco IOS;
  • Strong knowledge of firewalling technologies and accepted best-practices;
  • Strong English communication skills (written/oral) required. Knowledge of German is a plus.
