We are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Medical Scientist in Biochemistry to join our team at the Eurofins Biomnis laboratory in Sandyford, Dublin. Reporting to the Chief Medical Scientist, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Routine analysis in Biochemistry
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures
• Research, introduce and evaluate new procedures and instrumentation
• Train and evaluate staff in required technical skills and basic theory
• Assist in authorizing and reporting of test results and with client queries
• Assist in processing test reports to meet with defined turn around times
• Organise the completion of work on a daily basis
• Supervise and advise the laboratory staff to ensure they perform their tasks in a safe and efficient manner, in collaboration with the Chief Medical Scientist 
• Assist in the Total Quality Improvement of the Department

Minimum Qualifications required:

• Possess a recognised qualification as a Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist and be eligible for or hold membership of the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine (ACSLM) or CORU application in progress.

·        International applicants interested in this role must have permission to work in Ireland.

Professional Experience:

• Experience in a similar role.

• A good understanding of and commitment to Quality Management Systems and laboratory accreditation.
