We are looking to expand within the Agrigenomic market and we are looking for a Market and Sales Manager, with a solid background in genomics and strong market development skills, who will take the lead and support Eurofins Genomics expand in the Agrigenomics market in Europe within the Animal segment.

Job Description

The objective with this new role is to develop the Agrigenomics market in all EU. You will gain success in this job by having a strategic marketing approach including market intelligence, development of networks, awareness, and key opinion leaders, propose new developments to keep Eurofins Genomics up to date and in a market leader position.

The position also includes direct sales and to close new contracts and deals and to maintain strategic accounts together with being Eurofins’ key representative outwards within this market.

The job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Demonstrating and continuously maintaining scientific knowledge to engage in consultative selling of projects to industrial customers.
  • Develop the market strategy and support with competition and market surveys.
  • Taking care of the internal coordination for Agrigenomics market with production, business development and management as well as other Eurofins agriculture oriented entities
  • Development of a territory and account-specific business plan and execution of the business plan to meet sales targets and effectively generate new customer leads.
  • Developing and maintaining strong customer connections at various levels in the organization.

Qualifications

The right candidate
Besides having a strong experience within sales in genetics, genomics or other life science related sales you have a proven track record in lead generation, prospecting and success in complex sales within a multi-layered environment.

We are also looking for a person who is/has

  • Many years of experience from a similar position
  • Able to spend at least 50% of time traveling in European countries
  • Fluent in English on a professional level
  • Skills in marketing, a diploma is a plus
  • Significant knowledge of key stakeholders and network
  • A proven ability to network at all levels within the customer organizations, and in the broader market place.

  • A strong desire to drive business and establish long term customer relationships and loyalty.

The compensation will reflect the qualifications of the candidate and the results achieved.

Location
The candidate will be based in Europe. She/he will be located close to an international airport or train station.
