Job Description

The Role:

To manage the technical elements of the Sustainable Chemistry programme and assume responsibility as the business lead for all products and services.  This includes, but not limited to, assessment of risk in chemical formulations, materials and consumer products, overseeing RSL and MRSL testing, organising audits, liaising with auditors and overall management of the sustainable chemistry services.

Main duties: 

  • Business lead on all sustainable chemistry-related products and services.
  • Business development to include sales of chemical management services.
  • Managing technical elements of the Sustainable Chemistry programme.
  • Developing new products and services within the Sustainable Chemistry family (for example, tools, audits, training).
  • Line management responsibility for a small Sustainable Chemistry team.
  • Capacity building within the Eurofins commercial teams to scale the sales of Sustainable Chemistry products.
  •  A key point of contact for ZDHC and wider chemical management services for Eurofins.
  • Management of ZDHC accreditation testing, training and consulting.
  • Technical oversight of the Sustainable Chemistry website. Supporting with technical copy, posts, and the management of the blog. Providing innovation for messaging and new content (videos etc).
  • Technical oversight of other Sustainable Chemistry marketing campaigns (e-mail, social media, Eurofins group website etc).
  • Special consulting projects relating to chemistry on a case by case basis.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For:

  • Degree educated in chemistry, biochemistry or relevant subject area and proven experience in leather or textile supply chains and/or chemical industry
  • Ideally have a proven successful track record in project management
  • Must be goal-driven and motivated to meet and exceed targets
  • A driven, enthusiastic and confident individual with outstanding communication skills
  • Demonstrates a self-motivated, resilient and above all positive approach with a can-do attitude
  • Ability to travel to client sites across the country (pool car provided) and international travel when required
