Job Description

As a Senior Test Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring a high quality, on schedule delivery of test programs and verified hardware to the internal team so that customers in the semiconductor industry can qualify their devices.  You will work with the PCB, Reliability, and ATE operations team, along with management and sales to put together plans, execute, and support them in resolving issues.  Expectations and visibility are high, so you must be able to take independent ownership of assigned projects and help ensure customer has a successful qualification of their product within their targeted timeline.

In this role, you will perform a wide variety of complex technical work, including software and hardware development for semiconductor ATE and Reliability HTOL burn-in projects.   Interface directly with EAG customers to develop technical requirements and programs, define scope of work, debug and resolve issues, and communicate schedule and status.

You must be able to manage multiple projects at the same time, recognize and mitigate risks, and work proactively on contingency plans.  You must be organized and detailed-oriented with emphasis on clear, precise, documented communication/updates to customers and the internal team. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent field.
  • 5+ years of test engineering experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Operational knowledge of product release in the following areas of chip manufacturing:
    • Reliability
    • PCB
    • Test Engineering
    • Product Engineering
    • Production
  • Proficient in generation and debug of patterns supplied by customer in STIL, WGL, ATE formats, VCD, EVCD into test patterns for ATE or reliability systems.
  • Experience in test program development, debug, and release on one or more of the following ATE platforms is a plus:
    • Advantest V93K/SmarTest software
    • Teradyne Systems/IGXL software - UltraFLEX, J750 and Eagle ETS 364
  • Experience in development of reliability programs and patterns for HTOL systems such as MCC HPB5/HPB4 (PNPs) and Infinity is a plus
  • Proficient programming/scripting in Python, Perl, C, and/or C++ languages
  • Strong technical understanding and excellent troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Experience debugging new PCB/circuit assemblies such as ATE load boards and HTOL MCC/Infinity burn-in boards such  -  able to understand technical instructions and read schematics and PCB layout
  • Proficient in the use of instruments; DMM, Oscilloscope, etc.
  • Experience with high-speed digital circuits and transmission mission line
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skillset to interact/engage with customers and team
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple major and concurrent projects
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Proven willingness and ability to operate independently with minimal oversight, comfortable prioritizing and escalating as needed to succeed
  • Advanced degree (Masters, PhD) is a plus
