SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES:

 Eurofins Agroscience Services is looking to digitalize its paper based GLP processes by developing a Lab Execution System in order to improve the quality of data and services delivered by its 1700+ customers worldwide. This is a strategic and highly visible program, directly driven by senior management.

 POSITION & OBJECTIVES:     

• Part of the Release & Deployment team and be involved mainly, in the environments, configuration, build, packaging, operating procedures and release process management in the realm of the application solutions portfolio.
• Be the operation partner of application Development team and provide operation related services.
• Involved in application operation projects.
• Joining an IT team in Bangalore and always in contact with teams in the other locations
•  Involve in Release Deployment and Configuration evolution, and more generally DevOps adaptation.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Support Release Deployment on all environments ( Lower and Production)
• Work on configuration and procedures for the various steps of the platform lifecycle (provisioning, prerequisites, deployment/upgrade, monitoring and support).
• Collaborate closely with Functional, Development and Testing team to ensure our platforms are suiting the needs, are monitored and benefit from permanent improvements following the release and configuration management process.
• Ensure the required tasks and support will be aligned with Operation Guideline and Best practices.
• Create and maintain technical and operational documentation that describes the situation and ensure that documentation of processes is aligned.
• Actie driver for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) based application development
• Selects appropriately from applicable standards, methods, tools and applications and use accordingly.
• Understanding, learning and applying new automated build, test and deployment capabilities and help develop project teams towards integrating such solutions
• Design, propose, facilitate organizational and process improvements as needed for supporting automation
• Participate in the design of service automation and deployment of new cloud/on-prem technologies
• Maintain adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, usability design standards, etc.
• Provide support and documentation to assist in sustaining projects during the transition to production. 
• Provide input into product selection and standards, design, and certification
• Adheres to engineering methodologies and architecture global standards.
• Identifies potential points of contention for missed activities and notify leadership of situation with possible solutions.
• Execution of process engineering and operational improvement initiatives for automation tooling
• Working together with other team members (dev/QA) to ensure high quality of delivered solutions.
• Ensuring best pattern and practices and high quality standards are implemented and followed.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 7+ years of experience with developing end to end solutions using Microsoft Stack of Maintain up to date the Components library and topology describing each platform (development/ testing, QA/UAT, production etc.)
• Handle platform deployment and configuration automation.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Background on automated packaging and deployment of infrastructure and applications via TFS/Azure DevOps pipelines and Jenkins / Octopus Deploy
• Skills and experience in scripting and development
• Knowledge and/or experience on designing, developing, deploying, and CI/CD in a DevOps environment
• Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes and other types of Microservices and Container technologies highly preferred
• Experience with application load balancing solutions for scaling and HA is a plus
• Interest and ability to learn other technologies and tools as needed
• Experience with Docker containers and other types of Microservices and container technologies are highly preferred

PERSONAL SKILLS:

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal/written Communication, Interpersonal and Presentation skills. And can explain complex functional/technical concepts with ease (via diagrams, flowcharts etc.,).
• Should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player and exhibit exceptional relationship skills 
• Candidate to have do-it-done attitude; the ability to think critically; enjoy working with teams spread globally and across cultures; a desire to learn in new areas; and the discipline to pay attention to deadlines, details and quality.
• Experience in Agile (Scrum) methodologies needed.
• Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
