Please note this is a Fixed Term Contract until Feb 2022.

Working Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday 10am-7.30pm. This includes a 30 min break.

• Delivery & collection of diagnostic specimens to and from Eurofins in Normandy, Surrey. Mainly local deliveries & collections but candidate must be prepared to travel UK wide if required. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided – Long Wheelbase Transit/Sprinter size or equivalent.
• Some pre-booked daily journeys and ad-hoc journeys as required.
• Assist with Warehouse/Laboratory duties when there are no courier runs.
• The driver is responsible for the safe and appropriate transportation of diagnostic specimens as per company procedure.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed with a high degree of accuracy with proofs of delivery.
• Communicate on a regular basis with control throughout the day.
• The vehicle may be parked overnight at the normal place of work or taken home each evening.
• Drivers are responsible for carrying out daily and weekly vehicle checks, oil, water etc and reporting any defects in a timely manner to the logistics manager.
• Drivers are responsible for reporting accidents and breakdowns.
• Ensure the vehicle is locked and secure when unattended.
• Promote the Eurofins image by wearing a clean, neat and tidy uniform as provided, and by ensuring your vehicle is maintained in a clean, tidy and serviceable condition.
• Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
• To partake in any developmental training as required in compliance with the Company Standard.
• Drive Company vehicles in a safe and courteous fashion in accordance with the requirements of the Department of Transport and in compliance with the Highway Code.
• Take all reasonable action to ensure the safety and security of vehicles, equipment, goods, fellow employees and other road users.
• Responsible for promoting a professional image of the Company.

• Good geographical knowledge of the UK road network.
• Appreciation of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
• A customer focused approach with pleasant demeanor.
• Effective communication skills.
• Within a commutable distance to Guildford.
• Proven courier/driving experience.
• Full UK Driving License (must be less than 6 points).
