Job Description

OVERALL OBJECTIVES: 

Our new IT Infrastructure Project Manager  is responsible for providing project planning and management for IT Infrastructure projects, within the scope of the IT Transformation/Segregation program (high impact, highly visible) for the next few years. Once the Segregation is done, he/she will be responsible for other infra projects for CPT Europe, mostly focused on deployments and Merger & Acquisition activities.

The successful candidate will ensure that IT Infra projects are completed to specification, within an established time frame and budget, as per expected quality; and manage all aspects of coordination and delivery, including definition, planning, monitoring and customer satisfaction of IT Infra projects.

 

SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS – KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

IT Project Management (80%)

  • Manage, monitor and deliver IT Infra projects, as part of the IT Transformation/Segregation program;
  • Define scope, provide estimates, plan the budget, identify resources, oversee project governance;
  • Organize and manage all phases of the project to ensure timely completion;
  • Reporting + Dashboard with KPIs
  • Establish delivery monitoring controls and governance mechanisms;
  • Proactively identify project delivery risks, establish mitigation mechanisms and communicate these to appropriate stakeholders;
  • Assemble and coordinate project team members and assign individual responsibilities;
  • Prepare requests for proposals and conduct all necessary meetings to facilitate selection of project services and products;
  • Prepare and present decision-making material to management;
  • Adhere to standardized IT Project Management practices and work closely with the Regional PMO (project charter, project plan, timelines, requirements documents, project and resource planning, deployment plans, support plans, conversion plans, user guides etc.);
  • Plan and oversee the preparation and dissemination of standard project communications within CPT Europe sites and local IT (Field Support Agents);

  • Backup of the CPT Europe Infrastructure SDM
  • M&A activities

Relationship / Team Management

  • Work with multiple IT teams (Local/Zone/Region/Group) to ensure compliance with policies and standards, but also security;
  • Engage with business and local IT (FSA, Business Application Owners) to collaboratively deliver IT Infra projects, in a highly interdependent ecosystem with multiple stakeholders across the globe;
  • Act as a consultant towards your internal customer(s);
  • Build a network of key stakeholders (Local, Zone, Regional and Group), technical and non-technical (Infra experts, Enterprise Architect and Solutions specialists, or Business Analysts) and foster a productive relationship with them;
  • Lead, guide, inspire, and motivate the project team;
  • Foster collaboration promote synergies and share good practices/methodologies.

Qualifications

Education

Initial Background

  • Master’s degree in computer science or related field
  • ITIL Foundation certification

Additional / Certifications

  • IT Security Certification (CISSP, ISO27005 Risk Manager…)
  • PMP Certification strongly preferred
  • Agile Certifications preferred

Experience

  • 5-10 years of overall IT experience in a similar IT Infrastructure function;
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager of complex enterprise-wide IT Infra projects, preferably in an international organization, in an industrial or process driven environment, and ideally in the laboratory industry;
  • Experience in IT Service Delivery Management is a plus.
