• Play a key role in creating the business plan for chemistry capability establishment including facility construction, capital expenditures, and headcounts recruitment.
• Play a key role in leading and executing the chemistry capability project. 
• Play a key role in searching, designing and building up a regulatory compliant facility specialized in chemical synthesis.
• Recruit right individuals and provide them with leadership, coaching, and career development opportunities. Conduct performance reviews, train/develop, and manage work performance.
• Lead and manage new chemistry team to achieve organization goals.
• Supervise and drive synthetic chemistry for small molecule drug discovery projects from hit to lead finding, and lead optimization to candidate selection.
• Support global and Asia Pac leads and projects of DiscoveryOne™ Integrated Drug Discovery Services, coordinate with project managers, technical directors and study directors.
• Collaborate effectively with the teams to deliver projects on time with high standard data and to ensure high customer satisfaction levels. Contribute to troubleshooting and technical investigations/analysis.
• Search strategic and new business opportunities, work closely with the teams to evaluate potential opportunities.
• Build/ maintain relationships with external partners to achieve organization goals.
• Ensure efficient resource allocation and bring cross-functional teams together to achieve a common goal
• Communicate goals clearly to the team to ensure understanding and success in achieving them.
• Motivate and inspire all team members to do their best work through coaching and lead by example.
• Strategy formulation/discussion by working closely with the official managers.
• Promotes the quality system through adhering to the elements of and being familiar with the philosophy, quality statement, quality manual and procedures
• Promotes health, safety and environmental regulations by ensuring that standards, policies, and procedures are adhered to in compliance with corporate, country, and local requirements

• Strong background and experience in chemistry facility/ lab establishment, project management and coordination, comprehensively understand regulatory requirement
• Proven experience in heterocyclin and parallel synthesis (both in solution and solid phase)
• Proven experience in isolation, purification, characterization of complex organic compounds
• Experience in team management, guiding and mentoring technical staff in the pharmaceutical industry
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills in English/Chinese
• PhD degree in chemistry or chemistry related fields, postdoctoral experience is strongly recommended
• Strong track of publications, patents, contributions in the field of organic synthesis, heterocyclic, medicinal chemistry
