Job Description

EAG Laboratories has an opening for a Laboratory Technician trainee in our Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA) group of a well reputed failure analysis laboratory in the Los Angeles area. As a trainee, you will be trained by our Analysts and Engineers to perform hands-on analytical work on electronic components, including photographing and X-Ray and disassembly techniques.

This role is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).  All accepted applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR: U.S. Person is a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (A.S. in Electronics preferred)
  • Position requires sitting, standing, visual acuity, and manual dexterity       
  • Must have interest in learning new techniques
  • This position requires an accurate and detail-oriented person  
  • Typing skills and intermediate WORKING knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel must  

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of electronic components 
  • Photo documentation skills using digital camera and stereo microscope
  • Cross sectioning of electronic components
  • Bond Pull, Die Shear
  • X-ray radiography
