EAG is looking for a strong TEM Scientist who has experience operating and analyzing various materials using TEM. In this role, the individual will be responsible for:

• Obtaining Bright Field, High resolution, diffraction patterns, dark field TEM and HAADF STEM images of samples prepared by others in the lab.
• Obtaining STEM/EDX and STEM/EELS spectra, line scans and maps to meet customers’ needs.
• Organize data, prepare and deliver summary reports to customers.
• Work with customers and team members to optimize experiments and explain results. 
• Develop TEM analysis protocols for new sample types.

• Position subject to government regulations (ITAR); All accepted applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR: U.S. Person is a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee. 
• Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or other engineering or science field.
• 3-5 years’ experience using a TEM characterizing of materials. 
• Hands-on familiarity using TEM/STEM/EDS/EELS to characterize various materials.
• Familiarity with Hitachi STEM, FEI TEM, Oxford/Bruker EDS, Gatan EELS, Digital Micrograph.
• Knowledge of semiconductor devices is a plus.
• Knowledge/experience in Cathodoluminescence (CL) is a plus.
• Effective communication with clients on analysis results and technical questions.
• Strong ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting requests.
• Capability to work with minimal supervision.
