Job Description

Nanolab Technologies, a Eurofins company, is a global leader in advanced microscopy, surface analysis and semiconductor testing services of various types of materials from synthetic biomaterials to nanotechnology, deliver new “super materials” with the potential to transform our world. Our laboratories are at the forefront of this revolution, providing the scientific expertise and analytical techniques to support companies at every phase of the product lifecycle, from R&D to manufacturing.

Our Materials Sciences laboratory has is a unique opportunity for Materials Science students to develop hands on experience operating our state of the art microscopy instrumentation (Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), FIB/SEM, Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) etc.) while analyzing materials ranging from synthetic biomaterials to nanotechnology.

Clients include leading edge technology companies, consumer product manufacturers, aerospace suppliers all working in the early phase of product development.  Come join a work environment where Engineers engage in engineer-to-engineer interaction to discuss and comprehensively understand client issues, challenges, goals, to define the device problems, develop and execute analyses.

What will you learn during your time with us:

  • Master methods in prepping and processing samples (micro-cleaving, polishing, ion etching etc.) for TEM and/or SEM imaging or operating a TEM (Transmission Electron Microscope)
  • Further develop your knowledge of electron microscopy, semiconductor device physics and failure analysis

Our evening and weekend work schedules are prefect for part-time or full-time students, choose from Part-Time Saturday – Sunday or Full-Time 10 hours days Friday – Monday. 

Qualifications

  • Pursing a BS degree in Materials Science or related scientific field.
