Eurofins IT Infrastructure provides IT support for all Eurofins sites through an IT Service Desk and IT Operations teams.

Job Description

POSITION AND OBJECTIVES:

The IT Systems Administrator will work with the Australian and New Zealand IT Operations team who are responsible for the upkeep, configuration, management, and maintenance of Eurofins' regional IT Systems. This includes server management (both VMs and eventually Azure), backup management, some networking assistance, and the ability to troubleshoot, problem solve and manage projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES:

  • Plan, prioritise and manage changes to IT infrastructure;
  • Assist Global Eurofins teams to perform local or regional projects;
  • Plan and execute transition process for newly acquired Eurofins businesses;
  • Level 3 escalation contact for the AU/NZ Service Desk;
  • Pursue solutions to increase productivity and performance of Eurofins’ businesses and IT systems;
  • Adoption and adherence to IT Group standards and security rules;

Qualifications

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Excellent verbal and written English;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft OS (Server 2012 / 2016 / 2019, Windows XP / 7 / 10);
  • Sound working knowledge of virtualisation and backup solutions (e.g. vSphere, ESXi, Veeam);
  • Sound knowledge of networking (switches, routers, firewalls, WAPs, VLANs etc.);
  • Excellent knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting;
  • Experience in managing and supporting Active Directory DS, DNS, DHCP and GPOs
  • Ability to build and manage SOPs, business cases and project plans;
  • Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to function in an environment of constant change;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor or equivalent in relevant IT fields (focusing on IT Hardware, Systems Administration or Networking);
  • At least 3 years' experience in Systems Administrator or equivalent roles;
  • Applicants with relevant certifications (e.g. MCSE, CCNA, VCP etc.) will be looked on favourably.
