Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to embark on a career that contributes to the provision of justice in the UK, supporting the Archive Manager with the running of the Central Casefile Archive.  Performing a variety of day to day tasks associated to the retrieval, archiving and destruction of casefiles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Store, retrieve and archive casefiles.
  • Carry out general filing and archiving of other documents.
  • Maintain & update computer records for archive utilising specialist software CLIMS/ LIMS/ CMS.
  • Maintain paper records of file movements between sites.
  • Work according to Health and Safety requirements.
  • Work according to Quality requirements.
  • Liaise with end users.

Qualifications

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Ability to work alone and in a team.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer focussed.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Experience of working with complex filing, archival and retrieval systems preferred and ideally should have experience of working to documented Standard Operating Procedures or work instructions. GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English are required.

Additional Information

Contract: Permanent

Hours:     37.5 per week

Salary:     £19,000 per annum

Due to the highly sensitive nature of the work, applicants should note that security clearance will be required for this role. To gain security clearance you must have at least three years continuous residency in the UK. Criminal convictions may prevent you from gaining security clearance.  This role may in addition require random alcohol/drug screening.
