Job Description

The Role:

Management and analysis of the LWG audit data. Continually identify and develop the automation of systems to increase efficiency and digitalise our processes.

Main Duties:

  • Design, develop and maintain a database for audit data
  • Analyse data, and create dashboards, graphs and visualisations, to track KPI’s and support communication, technical developments, and strategic decision-making
  • Identify areas to increase efficiencies, and develop and maintain automated processes across the group, including the conversion of the LWG audit standard to Excel, or alternative
  • Supporting the implementation of API’s to link the LWG database to internal and external platforms
  • To develop and manage a scorecard for audit results
  • Data cleansing and management of data integrity of the group.
  • Create and implement rule and guidelines for data collection.
  • To work closely with the core team and support all additional tasks as and when required.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • A degree in engineering or data analysis - such as computer science, mathematics and statistics - or demonstrate several years relevant experience in this field
  • Demonstrate a range of technical skills and have the ability to approach problems in a creative manner
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work well in a professional manner with all stakeholders internal and external including internationally
  • Strong analytical mind and an inclination for problem-solving
  • Well organised and excellent attention to detail, as quality is core in everything we do
  • Proactive and a motivated self-starter
  • Must be able to work well in a small team Relevant software skills, including:-

          o    Strong Excel skills

          o    SQL or equivalent

          o    Analytics tools, such as Tableau or Power BI

          o    All main MS Office programs

          o    Knowledge of working with CRM’s, ideally Salesforce

  • Preferred to have knowledge of technical audit standards and certifications
  • Preferred to have an interest in sustainability and materials

About the role:

This is a newly created role in Eurofins| BLC and a great opportunity to join the small core Leather Working Group team working with international Auditors and Leather Manufacturers. The successful candidate will be the first data analyst and will be integral in shaping the way forward to digitalising our audits. The right candidate will be a hard-working team player, keen to learn new skills whilst getting straight to work on current projects in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

Background to the LWG Project:

The Leather Working Group Ltd (LWG) is an international group of leather manufacturers (tanneries), brands and suppliers to the leather industry.  Our core focus is on driving continuous improvements within the global leather industry, through our audit protocol.  Our current membership base is made up of over 1,200 members and is continuing to grow as the environment and sustainability become more and more important to companies, as well as individuals.
