Job Description

Eurofins is currently working on a massive migration from a legacy system to a new solution. As a Data Architect for Eurofins you will be responsible for reviewing, analysing and evaluating how data is processed, transferred and stored in the our key information management system. You will also be responsible for designing, recommending and guiding on best practices.

Your functions will include designing and guiding the implementation of effective database solutions and models for data management. You will also examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating operations and applications. The preparation and management of accurate database design and architecture reports will fall under your remit. This in turn will tie in to the assessment of database implementation procedures in relation to specified regulations.

This opportunity involves the migration of data from legacy systems to a new solutions resulting in system performance monitoring, troubleshooting and integrating new features, designing databases to support business enterprise applications and data modelling.

Other responsibilities as the Data Architect will include:

  • developing architectural strategies for data modeling, design and implementation;
  • reviewing existing data architecture to determine overall effectiveness and compliance with original objectives;
  • assisting and leading in the development of a Big Data Strategy; and
  • researching new technologies, data modeling methods and information management systems that can be incorporated into the company

Qualifications

Are you our kind of extraordinary?

Following completion of a Bachelors or higher qualification in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, you will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.

You will have extensive knowledge of database structure systems and data mining. You will also understand best in class data management strategies and have high level proficiency in RDMS, NoSQL, GraphDBmodern data management systems and Cloud solutions (Azure).
