About Eurofins IT Solutions India Pvt Ltd

Eurofins IT Solutions India Pvt Ltd (A CMMI Level 3 Company) is a 100% full owned subsidiary of Eurofins. This young captive centre located in Bangalore was established in 2012 to be the largest IT Solutions group within Eurofins to cater to all the internal IT business needs. The primary focus of IT Solution group will be to develop the next generation LIMS (Lab Information Management system), Customer portals, Ecommerce solutions, ERP/CRM system & B2B platforms for various Eurofins Laboratories and businesses.

POSITION TITLE:               Configuration and Deployment Lead

SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES:

Eurofins is currently initiating DevOps and accelerating the deployment of standard processes across its Laboratories. A key aspect is related to its Information Systems (EurIS) in which the central and regional web-based Marketing & Offer applications are essentials.

The main objective of this position is to support the IT Solutions Team and the "Application, Environment, Release and Operation" in particular for the lifecycle of application solutions.

The candidate will be

• Part of the Release & Deployment team and be involved mainly, in the environments, configuration, build, packaging,operating procedures and release process management in the realm of the application solutions portfolio.
• Be the operation partner of application Devevelopment team and provide operation related services.
• Involved in application operation projects.
• Involved in projects of transition to operation teams.
• Joining an IT team in Bangalore and always in contact with teams in the other locations(as One Team in Belgium, India, Irland and China).
• Involve in Release Deployment and Configuration evolution, and more generally DevOps adaptation.
• Will be leading the ComLIMS Release members in India

The Candidate is expected to:

• Contribute specifically on the following technical activities upon priorities defined by Team Manager:
• Should be able to handle & lead the ComLIMS Release members in India.
• Closely work Eurofins Operations teams, be involved in projects and communication with Team Manager.
• Contribute the the maintenance of System and Architectural documentation in the scope of Relesae team
• Act as part of L3 support team
• Provide some periodical and/or emergency support (i.e. on-call service).
• Provide operation related supports as Operation Partner to Application Scrum Teams .
• Embrace more generally:
  • high quality practices and processes in order to guarantee excellent state and smooth transitions for progams in all environments (development to production).
  • high quality engineering and guidelines of the target solutions,
  • Agile practices and well-known modelisation practices such as UML

Specific assignments:

• Maintain up to date the Components library and topology describing each platform (development/ testing, QA/UAT, production etc.)
• Handle platform deployment and configuration automation.
• Support Release Deployment on high environments (Qualification, Training and Production)
• Work on configuration and procedures for the various steps of the platform lifecycle (provisioning, prerequisites, deployment/upgrade, monitoring and support).
• Collaborate closely with Functional, Development and Testing team to ensure our platforms are suiting the needs, are monitored and benefit from permanent improvements following the release and configuration management process.
• Ensure the required tasks and support will be aligned with Operation Guideline and Best practices.
• Create and maintain level 3 technical and operational documentation that describes the situation and ensure that documentation of processes is aligned.
• Provide L3 support for deployment and configuration related issues. Ensure superior quality

OTHER ASSIGNMENTS :

• Ensure follow-up to Site Manager and Team Manager on a regular basis and as often as requested.
• Acquire rapidly a working knowledge of Eurofins systems, underlying concepts and models, as well as the processes and practices of the team.
• Deepen that knowledge on a continuous basis, guided by the most pressing needs of assigned functions.
• Develop appropriate working relationships with IT and non-IT target groups in Eurofins. Actively support reuse and sharing within the wider application community.

Personal Skills : 

• Very good communication and interpersonal relation skills in an international environment.
• Accurate in technical activities : cannot bear unaligned things if they are supposed to be similar, will take the time to review/reread its email. Do not forget punctuation when writing. Has clear structure in mind (for instance meaningdul and structured titles and subtitles when writing a document etc.)
• Good Team player.
• Willing to learn new technologies,processes and functional areas.
• Open minded on the subject.

Type and duration of previous

experience :

Ideally some experiences as Software Configuration position, IT Operation position or in Software Development in an international environment.

Technical knowledge :

• Knoweldge/Experience of Configuration Management Database, System architecture, platform blueprints, software configuration, Operations activities (procurement, installation, monitoring and support etc.) is a plus.
• Knowledge/Experience of Microsoft Azure Cloud is a plus.
• Knowledge/Experience of Octopus is a plus.
• Knoweldge/Experience of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS is a plus.
• Knoweldge/Experience of UML is a plus.
• Knoweldge/Experience of scripting (VTL, powershell, etc.) is a plus.
• Knoweldge/Experience of ASP.NET(Framework 3.5/4.0). Mvc 3 or above, WebApi is a plus.
• Knoweldge/Experience with Visual Studio environment is a plus
• Knoweldge/Experience of SQL or even T-SQL is a plus
• Knoweldge/Experience of SOA and/or messaging middleware is a plus

• Computing Science : Master’s degree preferred else good Bachelor’s degree.
