The Senior Sample Coordinator position is Full-Time, 1st Shift position, working between the hours of 8AM - 5PM, with some overtime based on business needs. Candidates within a commutable distance of Madison, WI are encouraged to apply.

Job Description

The Senior Sample Coordinator role serves as a technical lead in the Sample Registration process at Eurofins, Madison.  The key responsibilities will be split between supporting the daily production goals and also be a part of longer term business initiatives related to the sample management department.

  • Applies advanced knowledge of Laboratory Information Management (NIMS) software to daily projects.  Assists Sample Management and laboratory staff with understanding client requirements for effective NIMS project entry.
  • Ability to focus on on-time and accurate delivery of daily goals.
  • Has expertise in all of the sample accession tasks from project entry through the transition into the laboratory.
  • Effective working within a team environment and acts as a department-wide resource.
  • Strong communication skills when working with the customer service team.
  • Responsible for instructing less experienced staff, and prioritizing workloads.
  • Leads the long term development in the following area:
    • Data mining to support production metrics and efficiency projects
  • May assist in other long term projects such as:
    • Advanced training skills
    • Process efficiency with knowledge of lean practices
    • Technology advancement in key areas of sample management

Qualifications

  • 2 years of college or technical school training required,
    • Bachelor's Degree in a science or math program preferred. 
    • Experience may be substituted for education for the right applicant.
  • 3-4 years of commercial experience
  • Ability to use a variety of computer applications for data analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results on both short term and long term goals.
