Job Description

The Application Development & Support is responsible for providing quality technology solutions that address business needs.  The Chemistry business unit application stack consists of VB6, C# .Net, Java., html, css, bootstraps, ajaxs/javascripts, Angular, and Advanced SQL.  An experienced individual who has worked with these technologies and Labware LIMS basic will be preferred.

  • Interpret business requirements and define technical alternatives, tools, and approach
  • Develop, test, implement and document the technical solution to address the defined business requirements
  • Work with other team members to define effort estimates, time tables and project plans
  • Participate with the development team and IT staff as appropriate in the design of solutions
  • Collaborate with other technical areas to integrate across tiers, platforms, and responsibilities
  • Ensure that expected application performance levels are achieved
  • Plans and conducts module and basic integration testing
  • Manage technical aspects of application to ensure timely and effective implementations
  • Understand and comply to Project Life cycle Methodology in all planning steps
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Degree(s) required:  Bachelor’s Degree required in Computer Science, MIS or related field

·        3+ years of experience working in systems development

·        Experience working in a validated environment with Laboratory Information

·        Management Systems (LIMS) like Labware

·        Experience in system development using C# .NET or Java

Experience working with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies

·        Extensive coding experience

·        Ability to solve technical problems/issues on multiple platforms

·        Basic knowledge of software and development tools used by Eurofins

·        Deep functional skills
