Functieomschrijving

In this job you will focus on project management for continuous improvement projects. Projects for operational performance, quality and potentially also health and safety using mainly a Lean Manufacturing approach and methods.  In this role you are the partner of our Business Unit Manager in developing improvement roadmaps for Eurofins Food Netherlands.

You plan manage/lead and improvement activities where we:

  • Find improvement opportunities and define problems
  • Plan actions
  • Implement actions and manage implementation
  • Follow up on results
  • Ensure that we learn from the experiences
  • Support in resolving various issues and problems that occurs
  • Coach and teach local lean leaders and production staff in continuous improvement related matters.

Examples of areas you would work on: analyse and improve flow, improve on lab layouts and workplace design, 5S, problem solving and root cause analysis, developing and implementing standard work, analyzing and removing non-conformance from various audits.

Education and work experience

  • An education with focus on operations management, production or similar that would provide a basic understanding for production,
  • Have at least a basic experience from, or training in improvement work (e.g. Lean training, quality management or similar) and a will to dig deeper into it,
  • Project management training or experience.
     

Other

  • Proficient in English (in order to be able to attend Lean training, reading English literature and to communicate with others in an international environment) and Dutch

Plus

  • Knowledge in basic chemistry and related lab processes.
  • Microsoft office, especially Excel skills.
