Job Description

  • Must be a self-starter and comfortable taking initiatives.
  • Responsible for the technical execution of method transfers for successful implementation of assays in client’s lab
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) on technical/operational capabilities/capacity for cell-based assays
  • Perform experimentation for generation of products application data facilitating the creation of scientific content
  • Keeps abreast with new product pipeline and product improvements and updates. Alpha-test products before release to customers and report issues to R&D and Product Manager.
  • Provide high level technical guidance and troubleshooting at client sites for specific application needs while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
  • In coordination with the Sales Team, uncovers new business opportunities to grow the small molecule and biologics cell-based assays business.
  • Speak with biotech, biopharmaceutical and biosimilar companies to uncover needs and position appropriate DiscoverX format/solution
  • Present DiscoverX technical product capabilities to audiences at conferences, onsite seminars, vendor shows and other customer-facing events.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must be comfortable discussing difficult technical assays while maintaining a respectful and engaging interaction with clients.
  • Supports the generation of products application data by facilitating the creation of scientific content to be used in multiple marketing tools.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate would possess: 

  • Proficient in GraphPad Prism. Experience with SoftMax Pro and PLA Software
  • Understand market and customer needs of Biologics Drug Development and technically articulate value of DiscoverX offerings.
  • Experience in analytical cell based assay development for biologics discovery and development
  • Experience working in a quality controlled laboratory environment
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, MS Word and Excel
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, accurate and detail oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • A good listener and a proactive team player
  • Ability to analyze, prioritize and multitask assignments
  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in analytical cell based assay development for biologics discovery and development
  • Experience working in a quality controlled laboratory environment
  • Must be able to travel >50% domestically in the US
  • BS/MS with 3-5 years of cell based assay development experience. Ph.D. preferably in cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, or bioanalytical sciences
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
