Eurofins NTD Genetics is focused on developing and introducing innovative tests to physician offices, hospital laboratories, and reference laboratories that will enable them to help patients make better decisions regarding their health.  

Job Description

The  Director Strategic Account (DSA) for NTD Genetics is responsible for developing growth opportunities in defined Healthcare channels like Super Groups for Physicians (OBGYN’s), Health Care Systems (Hospitals), IPA’s/GPO's and Bio-Pharma. The targeted call points are primarily C-Suite level conversation, in addition to Medical Directors and Head of Lab Administrators. This position will work in parallel with NTD Genetics Account Managers who are focused on further developing the relationships with Physicians, Pathologists and Genetic Counselors. The DSA should drive a high degree of untapped value aligned with the organizations goals in joint meetings with internal & external counterparts. The sales plan will encompass new growth primarily focused on Covid-19, Bio-Pharma and Health Care Systems Genetic Testing. This role will report directly to the VP of Business Development while having a dotted line to the Area Director of Sales for their assigned area. The Strategic Account Director must be highly collaborative and will be expected to collaborate with the VP of Business Development and the field sales team to strategize and execute comprehensive account plans to increase revenue and support overall company performance within the geographic areas serviced.  The primary goal of this role is to develop new revenue opportunities through the acquisition of new accounts and secondarily growing our strategic portfolio in our largest customers while ensuring the organization is well-positioned to advance new trends in the field of Molecular Testing and Women’s Health.  

Strategic Account Director Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Analyzes the competitive landscape, develops an executive strategic plan, and executes on large account growth opportunities in an assigned area.
  • Develops and Drives strategic opportunities within our core test capacities of Molecular Diagnostics, NIPT, Women’s Health, COVID and clinical research bio-pharma partnerships.
  • Thinks strategically through complex problems and proposes innovative solutions to complement our organizational goals and to further establish NTD Genetics as a Women’s Health and Genetic Testing market leader by enhancing market perception through positioning novel assays and unique programs.
  • Fosters relationships with industry thought leaders through providing value in sharing a knowledge base on technical updates for genetic testing guidelines and changes on the horizon.
  • Utilizes a consultative sales approach to drive a partnership that establishes reciprocal value.
  • Collaborates with Marketing to align strategic plans, share voice of customer, and provide actionable insights.
  • Possesses a strong technical and clinical acumen for our product and program positioning
  • Supports regional and national networking events with highly influential affiliations to solidify a strong genetic testing market presence.
  • Influences internal and external stakeholders as-is necessary to gain alignment on the overall testing vision as a trusted advisor.
  • Encourages and supports collaboration in high-level customer meetings and is able to convey the needs of internal operations when presenting and closing the deal.
  • Prepares internal presentations to provide updates on strategies and milestones on our testing performance for executive review with the goal of gaining support for roadblocks, solicit feedback, and provide transparency to align as an enterprise.
  • Strengthens our value proposition in selling to our customers through marketing concepts to enhance our market presence.
  • Always keeping your eye on the critical areas of focus for NTD Genetics but helping us development a business program that becomes the industry standard.

Qualifications

  • BS in life sciences or relevant field, or equivalent of education and experience in the Health Care arena.
  • Minimum of 10 years of business experience working and selling within a clinical diagnostic laboratory space with at least 7 years of sale experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing and driving a complex sale and working in a matrixed corporate environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge in the Women’s Health and/or Diagnostic testing segment.  Experience with genetic testing or oncology testing is highly preferred.
  • The leader should possess an ability to represent themselves and the organization in a professional and polished manner. As well as maintain a high level of emotional intelligence, composure, and self-awareness are imperative.
  • For large presentations, their style should exude confidence, be knowledgeable, and well-poised with a high degree of competence to deliver a clear, articulate, and concise message.
  • Ability to work with others and individually a must.
  • Results-oriented with demonstrated ability to manage and drive the completion of multiple competing projects.
  • Ability to use and work within Salesforce.com
  • Fluid with the use of MS Office suite of software.
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time.
